Your hosts, Leah & Colin, have been living in Fort Simpson for more than 15 years and are proud to showcase the community and region.

Colin is a retired helicopter pilot with an excellent knowledge of the Dehcho region’s geography and spectacular sites to visit – by air or by road. He can make some suggestions based on your schedule and wishes.

Both Leah & Colin are very involved in community activities and are proud to introduce you to their community. They make every effort to make your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.

Getting here by road:

 

We are 1443 kilometers from Edmonton, Alberta. Drive the Mackenzie Hwy. north and be sure to take time to visit some spectacular sites such as Louise & Alexandra Falls, McNallie Creek, Wallace Creek, Sambaa Deh Falls Territorial Park and campground (Trout River), along the way. Bring a picnic!

We are located 425 kilometers from Hay River; 624 kilometers from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories (you will get to cross over the new Dehcho Bridge);  276 kilometers from Fort Liard, Northwest Territories where you can shop at the local arts & craft store for birch bark baskets and other northern art.
